Fishing, new painting, sweltering heat…

How is everyone on the east coast dealing with this heat?  Well, I’m not enjoying it at all.  Took my dad fishing on Sunday, but of course he wanted to leave long before I did.  I’m fishing alone from now on, or taking seperate vehicles – bringing someone with me always results in them giving up/getting bored long before I do.   I haven’t met anyone who has the stamina to do it for as long as I would like (get your mind out of the gutter.)  In any case, we both caught some sunfish and bluegill (not pictured,) and I also caught a largemouth bass and a brown bullhead.  The bass was on the small side, but the bullhead was a bit larger than the last one I caught.

Here’s my dad, not dressed approprietely for the 96 degree weather:

We also saw two common black rat snakes basking in the sun.

Last night I listed “New Hope #42.”

I don’t know where Koopa is at the moment.  He was looking kind of uncomfortable until I got the second AC in the window.  I can’t imagine any animal (aside from black rat snakes) could be thrilled with this heat.

My sleep cycle went back to “normal” for a few days and I was completely unproductive.  Now I’m getting back from the gym around 3 a.m., then sleeping from roughly 4 a.m. until noon.  I get more done and have more energy that way.  It would be nice to have the same hours as Nes, but I keep falling into the same cycle.  If I try to go to bed at a reasonable hour I still end up sleeping until noon or wake up in a bad mood with no energy.
