95 degrees tomorrow! Agrhhhhh! I hate the heat, the sun, and sweating. The only redeeming qualities of summer are baseball, fishing, and gardening (which I’m not doing this year.) I think the AC is going in the window very soon. I did 3 breast paintings today because there’s no way I’m doing them when the heat is unbearable. Tomorrow I’ll probably find a nice shady lake to fish in after I get the gym out of the way.
-Now for the good news (for me)-
Due to the sale of that antique pocket watch I was able to pay off 2 high-interest bills…one of them a credit card and the other my Dell computer. I’m still heavily in debt, but 2 less bills is something to celebrate! I upgraded my tackle box to a larger model and bought a bunch of lighted bobbers for night fishing. I also bought a new weight scale. I threw away my two “evil” scales…one digital that produced random infuriating numbers, and another that had numbers so small that a second person was required to read the verdict. Nes and I are both losing weight from all of this diet and exercise but we only see it in each other, not ourselves. We’re both sticking to it and working very hard, so I’m confident that I’ll see results soon. Nes just needs to get his blood pressure down. He used to have a steamy love affair with Chinese food.
“New Hope #38″ has been listed tonight:

OK, I’m done with this post and I just finished watching the Mariners destroy the Sox. These are my 2 favorite teams, so I don’t really care who wins. Seattle could use a few wins, and the Sox can spare a few.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

I'm an Internet-based (anxiety-ridden) abstract artist residing in Connecticut. I'm best known for my breast paintings, which I've been offering sporadically since 2001. You may also be familiar with my work with Koopa, the world's 1st professional painting turtle (now enjoying early retirement.) I'm currently spending lots of time creating photographs, beaded jewelry and poetry too! Check out some of the links on the top and sidebar, read some back posts, wander over to www.turtlekiss.com, and be sure to leave a comment if you have anything to add. Thanks for visiting!

95 degrees is waaaaay too hot. Even for my side-necked, Rex. I do read the blog often but dont always have the time to comment. Im glad to hear that you and Koopa are well. I really like your paintings and I wish I could bid on them but I am newly engaged so I have to save up for my dress and stuff. But trust me I will starting bidding soon! Hope you have a good week! Rex leaves sloppy turtle kisses…..

Emily – Congrats on the engagement! When’s the date for the wedding? Is Rex going to be the ring bearer?
Thanks for letting me know you’re reading; it means a lot to me even though I know this blog hasn’t been very entertaining lately. I’m also guilty of reading and not commenting…especially on MySpace. I rarely leave comments for anyone, although I visit every couple of days.
Take care, and thank Rex for the kisses…Koopa’s currently in hiding so I can’t get any from him at the moment!
