I finally joined a gym (again)

I use the word “again” because I’ve had gym memberships before, just not in a very long time.  Like several years…well, more than several.

Today was day #3, so that’s why you haven’t been hearing much from me lately. I’m so tired by the time I get home, and the last thing I want to do is sit at the computer. Yesterday I did an hour on the treadmill, 20 minutes on the elliptical and another 20 on the stationary bike. I did the same today and maybe will take tomorrow off. Eventually I’ll throw some weights in there, but for now I just need to get my heart pumping and my body used to moving around more.

Here’s what got listed earlier…it’s “New Hope #33!”

  • Gym?…..What’s a gym? lol I need to join one too! Have a great day hun! ~hugs~

  • It’s 99 bucks for the year which isn’t bad at all. I don’t think I’d have as much “endurance” if there weren’t so many TVs to watch. :-)

Well Congrats to you and I am sending you the will to make sure you stay with it, lol I know you can do it. I commend you it’s more than I am doing :) I bet the TVs do help :)

Hope it goes well and you meet any goals you have. My best to you XOXOXO

  • Hi, Kira!

I haven’t posted lately, although I have been reading your blog regularly. I’m impressed by how much your “breast art” has progressed since your first efforts! Your latest paintings show so much depth and texture. Although the process may sound simple to some, I’m certain that it’s much more difficult than we can imagine! I wouldn’t be worried about your imitators; people who really appreciate art will recognize the superiority of your work over that of the copycats.

It sounds like you’re feeling much more positive and happier than you were before. Nice to hear that you’re getting out and doing things. Exercise is a terrific mood lifter, both physically and mentally. The act of exercising releases endorphins, which help alleviate anxiety and depression. Good work; keep it up!

I’m thrilled that Koopa is doing well! That was such a scary time for you. One of my turtles currently has colitis and is being given oral medicine. It really makes it worry when one of our little shelled friends isn’t feeling good.

A lady friend of my dad, who knows I have turtles, brought me the article from Woman’s World about Koopa. I told her that we’ve communicated throught the internet and filled her in on the work you’re doing now.

I enjoy reading your blog, and hope things continue to look up for both you and Koopa. *Hugs to you both*

  • Ginger! Always nice to see you here. :-)

I hope your turtle gets through the colitis and is feeling better soon.

As for the breast art imitators, I think you’re right and I have nothing to worry about – it’s just my nature to torture myself like that. I’ve been doing it long enough (before Koopa started painting) and I’ve become very good at getting the results I want. The flower buds are a total bitch, though! I’m very fortunate to have somewhat of a following on eBay, and I’ll always have more class than any of the followers.

The exercising is going well…I’m trying to maintain a 3 days on, 1 day off schedule. I really push myself hard when I’m there. I tried the treadmill on the highest incline, and even a few bursts of jogging (OMG I need a better sports bra.) I think just getting out of the house is a great thing for me, but not so good for my wallet, as my gas tank will now need to be filled more often.

Koopa’s still sleeping a lot, but I know turtles take a while to recover fully so I’m letting him relax and eat since that seems to keep him happy. I do catch him basking at the wee hours, so I leave his UV light on at night now.

Keep in touch, and please let me know how your turtle is doing. Best wishes and a speedy recovery!

    XOXO

  • Durkheim – I’m not sure I was trying to make a point. I just wanted to show off my newest breast painting and mention that I joined a gym.
    Thanks for visiting!
