More fishing and “Pandamonium #6″

I needed to get away from my stress and unnecessary internet drama yesterday, so I threw my fishing equipment into the back of my truck and started driving.  I didn’t have a “plan,” but I knew I’d have the best luck heading east of Hartford.  I continued to drive until I saw a sign for a boat launch, and turned into what apparently was the entrance to Holbrook Pond:

It was a beautiful day for fishing, and I spent about five hours casting from one shady spot.  I got off to a slow start, but as it started to get dark I was getting lots of nibbles on my line.  Unfortunately, the time came when I could no longer see my bobber.  Here’s a couple of photos of the pond:

I did manage to catch 4 fish – 3 bluegills and I bullhead.  The bullhead was big though…a little over a foot long and a good fighter!

“Pandamonium #6″ will be listed tonight.

  • Hey Kira,

It’s Marisa from MA. Just thought I’d let you know that I read your blog all the time. I wouldn’t worry about the other breast painters. I checked them out and they got nothing on you (I don‘t think they even sell). One even comes with a picture of her “brushes”. How tacky.

I love the Pandamonium painting. Those pandas are wicked cute! Give Koopa kisses for me. I’m so glad that he’s feeling better.

  • Marisa!!!! Welcome, and thanks for your comment! I actually did the same thing yesterday and commented on some blogs where I’ve been a lurker for a long time.

I agree that the photo of the “brushes” is incredibly tacky (and whorish.) I’m not afraid of competition, but I don’t like when people try to replicate my style. There are certainly other ways to paint with ones’ breasts without making them identical to mine.

The “Pandamonium” series is one of my favorites, but even what’s so seemingly simple takes several hours. I did the outlines for the heads over the course of the entire movie “Penelope,” which was probably about an hour and a half. Then, I colored in the black parts while watching GSN for another 2 hours. Things take a lot longer when you’re forced to stay inside the lines.

Mr. Koopa has been kissed on your behalf. He is feeling better, and it makes me a lot more productive and happy when I don’t have to worry about him.

    Don’t be a stranger!

    XOXO

    Hi Kira :)

It’s Christine. Just checking in with you, it’s been a little while now, just so busy that it’s hard to keep up with everyone and everything. Your paintings look awesome :) I am also so glad to see that Koopa is doing so well :) We all prayed so hard for both of you that he would make it. He truly has a strong spirit and an awesome person caring for him and keeping him going :) I hope that you are doing well too. I am always here for you if you need a friend and hey don’t worry about the competion or copy cats, if anything just consider it as compliments :) My best to you both and Nestor too :) XOXOXOXO

  • Hi Christine – Thanks for stopping by to comment! It looks like everyone’s prayers worked, because Koopa is doing much better than he was before, and I’m a lot calmer as a result. Worrying about him took a serious toll on me and my tendancy to get stressed and depressed. I definitely feel as if I’m thinking more clearly and being more productive.

So sorry about the mystery auction situation on eBay…that has to be a major blow to all of the honest mystery auction sellers. I wish you the best on the other sites.

Thanks again for visiting; it’s truly appreciated.

    Hugs,
    Kira

    Hi Again :)

I am so glad that you are both doing so much better. It is a big relief to know :) Thanks for your wishes too. Yes it is a blow but one that has been in the works for a while. You might want to also join the other sites too. Onlineauctions.com is $8 a month and all you pay, no listing or final value fees and no limit on how many you can do in a month. The other site is woohoomysteryman.com. That site is a blast with games to play an auction section, groups to join and a lot more in the works. He only charges 2% FVF on auctions once they sell and very cool people there. One member even promoted some of your auctions in his newsletter, lol :) So if you get tired of ebay, stop on by :) Hey I am still waiting on when you want your box, lol I still have some things here for you but I need your likes and dislikes again :D I love stopping by to visit, just wish I could do it more. I will be back soon :) BTW your painting are awesome and I see they are doing really well :) Congrats :)

Many hugs for you both XOXOXOXO

    Christine
