Yesterday Koopa got some x-rays, which ruled out any kind of intestinal blockage. He also received some nutrition via feeding tube, and had some blood work done, which I suspect will tell us where the real issue lies. The results should be back in roughly 3 days. Today his behavior is the same and he just wants to be alone in his box.
I listed another one of my paintings, “Pandamonium #5.” It’s been a popular series in the past but I’ve spent such a long time focusing & developing Koopa’s portfolio that I’m basically an unknown artist without a following. Starting over from scratch during a time like this is not something I’m emotionally and financially stable enough to do. In any case, here’s a photo…

As always, if you’d like to see what other artwork is available, the eBay link is on the right. Hope you’re all doing well.

I'm an Internet-based (anxiety-ridden) abstract artist residing in Connecticut. I'm best known for my breast paintings, which I've been offering sporadically since 2001. You may also be familiar with my work with Koopa, the world's 1st professional painting turtle (now enjoying early retirement.) I'm currently spending lots of time creating photographs, beaded jewelry and poetry too! Check out some of the links on the top and sidebar, read some back posts, wander over to www.turtlekiss.com, and be sure to leave a comment if you have anything to add. Thanks for visiting!

Hi Kira
I check back frequently to search for updates on you and Koopa. Looking forward to hearing what kind of path to healing you are both about to take. You ARE incorrect about one thing, though. You do have a following. I visit your site EVERY day. I know this is a very rough time for you, and I think you are being harder on yourself that you should be. You are extremely talented! You just need to get your goods out there! I am so happy and honored to own 2 of Koopa’s masterpieces. Lets continue to dwell on the positive and keep the well wishes flowing!
Best of everything to you both, and praying for a quick, complete recovery!

Thank you Beth…I appreciate your kind words. I never expected Koopa to live forever, but I’m just not ready to lose him.
